MLB Network is getting pretty good!
I just watched Game 5 of the 2008 World Series on MLB Network. Two days ago I watched Tom Seavers 300th Career Victory against the Yankees.....
Also have been watching some of the WBC....

Re: MLB Network is getting pretty good!
Watching Larsen's entire perfect game a few weeks ago on MLB was a dream come true.
I expect HUGE things from the MLB network as the season progresses.

Totally my new favorite channel...they don't cut out big chunks of the game the way ESPN Classic does. Baseball 24/7, 365 is long overdue.

All I can say is - this was such a good idea, they must have done it all behind Bug Selig's back.

I concur!!!
In fact if you saw the entire showing of that game, they made mention that it was the 1st time since the game was played that it had been shown in it's entirety since it was played in 1956.
They also made mention of a fact I found intriguing... that the film for the 1st Inning is missing and has never been found - how about THAT for a Holy Grail hunt?
Not only did I enjoy watching the game, I got GREAT info on a piece in my collection... did you watch all the old Gillette ads between innings as well? I ask because about 2 years ago I picked up a 'pocket edition' of the Baseball Encyclopedia at a Flea Market... well guess what. It's a 1956 Edition - the same they were showing on the Gillette ads a 'Premium' give away with the Gillette 'World Series' Special Razor package. Now I know where my book came from!
All the best -

It's a truly amazing great production.
How long do you guys thing it will be before Gammons makes the jump?
Don't get me wrong, ESPN is great, and I love "Baseball Tonight"....but they have some overwhelming competition now.
