1989 Jersey tagging
Can anybody help me out with some info on what to look for(tagging etc...) in a 1989 Red Sox jersey? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kelly

home or road? in 1989, the red sox' home jerseys were supplied by wilson while their road jerseys were supplied by rawlings. each manufacturer had different tagging. here's a shot of both:

Re: 1989 Jersey tagging
I was looking at this tag from an auction for a road jersey. What is the "T" on the tag?
Thanks,
Kelly

Re: 1989 Jersey tagging
the "T" means "tapered". specifically, it denotes that the jersey was customized per the player's request to have the body of the jersey tapered. rawlings would often sew a "T" onto tapered jerseys during the 80's/90's. bear in mind, not all tapered jerseys have the "T" denotation. all jerseys that have the "T" though should be tapered.
