Al Kaline
I was wondering your opinion on this bat? It matches shipping orders from 54-61.Does the line under the 125 indicate anything? Al Kaline GAME? M110 Louisville Slugger Baseball Bat

Re: Al Kaline
Hi--
Although this bat has labeling from the 1961-1964 H & B labeling period, the line under the number 125 in the center label indicates that the bat was not manufactured for professional game use, but rather for a promotional event, retail, show signing, etc. The 34.5 inch length of the bat does match two orders of Model M110 bats shipped to Kaline in March and April of 1961, so the value of this bat probably lies in the fact that it is a cheap way to get a replica bat in the proper dimensions to those Kaline actually used without paying the price for a professional model game used bat. Also, for future reference, note that Model M110 is Al Kaline's Pro Stock Model, often found in various dimensions on team index bats and promotional items.
Good Luck in future collecting.
