Griffey near return to Mariners

Ya, the deal's done. I've got mixed feelings about it. It will be cool to see him in a Mariners uniform again, but I just don't know how much he has left. Hopefully the surgery will keep him healthy.

How can you guys NOT be feeling overwhelming joy about this wonderful news.....He's a legend. Enjoy watching every moment you can. These days don't come around very often in one's life.

And if any one of you catch one of his home runs.....take pictures, get affidavits signed by witnesses, and email me at suicide_squeeze@roadrunner.com as I'll pay you GOOD money for one of his home run balls!!! (Really!!......no joke)

I'm not even much of an M's fan, but I grew up in Seattle and used to be one. Even I'm excited about Griff's return. That's saying a lot. Growing up, it irked me that he would never run out routine grounders, but I guess he's earned that right, at this point in his career.
