street banner/pole banner thread
one of the members has a thread in the wanted section regarding street banners/pole banners hanging around or on the stadiums. i thought it would be interesting to start a thread and see if any other collector have these in their collections.
here is mine, a 1996 jim thome banner. i have it hung in my garage overlooking my workshop. the funny part is, it is so big that i use it as my safety reminder.
'jim says be careful of hand placement by table saw'
'jim says know where fingers are at all times'
'jim says stupidity should be painful'
i thought it would make for an interesting thread.
take care

Re: street banner/pole banner thread
Banners are tough to display just because of the sheer size of them. This once hung in the Kingdome. I tried pricing the banner display holders and they go for $200 and up. This one is double sided with Dan Wilson on the other side. Yes both sides are autographed.

Re: street banner/pole banner thread
This is the Jimmy Rollins stadium banner I have that was hung in Citizens Bank Ballpark during the 2007 season. I picked up last year from a forum member (Thanks Bob!).
I now have it hanging in the museum where our sports exhibit is currently being held. This is the only place I can display it since I don't have space where I live.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]www.alamedasportsproject.com

Re: street banner/pole banner thread
This is sort of related. Anyone who attended the old Soldier Field can remember the little blue beer carts that used to be stationed periodically around the stadium. Well, after the games they used to stack a bunch by the east exits which we used (old lakeside parking lot, now the memorial park), so I would snatch one after every home game. I have about a dozen of theses ranging from Guinness, Bud, Miller, Lienie's(sp?) and so on.

I enjoy these banners, but have a hard time displaying them..recently purchased an E. Murray banner at the National for $10..I also have sev. 3x6' banners from old Cooper Stadium Columbus Ohio (Yankees AAA Farm Team) & here's a pic of a signed D. Sydor Columbus Blue Jackets banner, have some large banners from the team as well.

This looks like a cool thread to revive. Show off your stadium banners.
