I don't claim to be an expert, but it seems OK to me. However, if it's on a Selig MLB ball, then all bets are off. The MLB baseball didn't debut until 2000. Flood died on 1/10/97, the middle of Leonard Coleman's tenure as NL president.

I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't buy it; why did he have such a hard time with his "C"??

Hi,
Here are a couple photos of his "autograph". First is from one of his bats, a H&B model W222 and the other is from a Topps 1964 #103 card. The bat is probably from 1969. The autographs are different, but maybe these will give you some help.
