Kershaw 2009 Home GU Jersey Authenticity Question
Hi everyone,
I'm just looking for some opinions on this jersey from people that know more than I do so any input is greatly appreciated!
I picked this up online in I want to say 2010, but they did not have a COA or anything but said it came directly from the Dodgers. It looks like the other examples I have seen online, but just looking for a little reassurance if possible. It is unavailable either way and I can take close up pictures of anything more if it would help. Definitely hoping it is real and not just an expensive replica haha
Just realized the photos uploaded pretty small from my phone so I'll try and upload from a computer later to try and do them larger
Thanks in advance!
Tim

Re: Kershaw 2009 Home GU Jersey Authenticity Question
Tim,
I'm not all that familiar with Dodgers jerseys, but looking at the 22 50 90 that's sewn into the collar, the '2's' look different from other Kershaw jerseys that have sold over the last few years:

https://www.pricerealized.com/#!/Ite...KEL-COLLECTION
https://goldinauctions.com/lot-10990.aspx
https://goldinauctions.com/2009_jim_...-lot11812.aspx
As you can see in the 5 examples above, the '2's' all have flat bottoms, but your's has rounded bottoms.
Again, I know little about Dodger's jerseys, but this seems like a stark difference to what's been sold in the past, and one that should raise a red flag.

Re: Kershaw 2009 Home GU Jersey Authenticity Question
Interesting that there were a few other inconsistencies within the examples that were provided; the most notable being the year in the neck tag being displayed as both "09" and "2009". I'm not an expert either but all of these examples being slightly different makes it difficult to use any of them as a standard for authentication.
The "KERSHAW" nameplate style/stitching on the inside of the jersey and placement of the "PROPERTY OF" tag are other anomalies within these jerseys.
