Both Chicago MLB teams are planning massive capacity increases later this month.

The White Sox and Cubs will increase crowd limits to 60% of capacity. This begins on May 24 for the White Sox and May 28 for the Cubs.

Both teams will also have sections set aside for fans who have been fully vaccinated; sections 108 and 109 at Comiskey Park and the upper level of bleachers beneath the center field scoreboard at Wrigley Field. Seating in these areas does not count against the overall 60% capacity limit.

Northwestern University of the Big Ten announced that there will be no restrictions on crowd capacity for their entire 2021-22 athletic schedule.
