its sad how so many players from the 50s-60s era have passed away in the last few years and the living ones like musial and berra are so old.

I met Bobby any number of times, having grown up in NJ. He and Branca were standard guests on the autograph circuit.
I had him sign bunches of cards over the years, but my favorite thing is a photo of the infield after the HR. The Staten Island Scot was getting mobbed at home plate while Branca walked off the mound upset. Bobby signed it (at my request) "The Giants win the pennant! Oct 3 '51 Bobby Thomson"
