Odd Montana item, legit?
I was looking for a certain KC Chiefs hat that I had when I was a kid when I came across this item. It is the hat that I was looking for but it had an apparent backstory. The owner of the hat claimed that his son worked for Joe Montana when he was in KC and this hat was one he gave to his son. I bought the hat with the impression that the autograph and message were fake. I paid pennies for it and was just interested in getting an opinion on it. I'm keeping it either way but there is a slight hope that I found something special.

It looks 100% legit to me. Heck that even looks like really nice Montana signature!

I agree..The Joe part looks legit and he actually signed his last name better than normal...you may have yourself a winner!

Re: Odd Montana item, legit?
Looks like you might have stumbled into an inscription made out to his son Nate who went by Scooter in high school.
