    MLB All-Star BP Jersey

Not sure if anyone is bidding on the All-Star BP jersey in the Hunt LVS auction. It was brought to my attention by a eBay bidder that Hunt had these up for auction. As I recentliy listed my Victorino BP on eBay(http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_500wt_1182). He told me in a not so nice way that I had over priced my jersey and I need to get real! As the Hunt Victorino BP was signed and only at $300 or so. This peaked my intrest, so I took a look. No where does it say game used in there description. So I asked Hunt for the MLB hologram number. The number is LH695025, when I looked it up. It does not say game used or anything near that. The hologram is on for the auto. I was also intrested in the Mo(LH705178), and Jeter(LH705183). Both are listed as only auto jersey. So this is just a FYI. I think all the All-Star BP Hunt jersey are only auto jersey not game used.

    Scott,
I believe you are correct. The Greinke jersey listed by Hunt is authenticated as signed. I ordered the actual game worn bp jersey from mlb so the jerseys in Hunt's auction appear to be game cut/issue signed. Their jerseys are sized correctly and not retail but appear not to be used.

The jerseys from the homerun derby day got bought up by Topps Cards. The only jersey that will be game used are from the 14th. I have Ryan Brauns from the 14th with a mlb hologram saying game used.

I've noticed ever since I came across Hunt's auctions earlier this year that they word their jersey descriptions very carefully to allude that they are sometimes "game worn".
They had a Michael Jordan home jersey back in their Sept '09 MJ/BHoF auction and it was a jersey given to an Upper Deck employee while they were on the court shooting some promo. Their lot wording eluded that the jersey was indeed "game worn with evidence of light use", and when I contacted them they said they believed it to be game worn. However, I just didn't buy it. Does MJ just happen to drive around with game worn jerseys in his car? LOL...

Dunno, when it comes to finding a true "game worn" jersey in their auctions you really have to read the lot description carefully!

    Scott,

I think these are the jerseys that are given to BAT (baseball assistance team) to auction for charity. they have the correct sizes, stitching, and pro code wash tags. from what i understand, there are 2 of these jerseys for each player. one is worn, and one is "issued". BAt gets the issued ones to sell for charity. i do think, in some instances, there are 3 per player.

Yup.. and that's why I hate their lot descriptions on jerseys. They could easily say they aren't GU and just issued ones given to BAT or whatever.

Like I said in my earlier post, they are very deceitful in their jersey descriptions I've noticed in all their auctions I've come across this year
