Hall of Famer Lou Brock was best known for base-stealing and starting Cardinals rallies during his illustrious career. He hit over .300 eight times and was a 6-time National League All-Star. Brock held the record for career stolen bases (938) until it was broken by Rickey Henderson. In 1974, he stole a major-league record 118 bases (a record that was also later broken by Henderson). He led the National League in stolen bases eight times between 1966 and 1974. Overall, Lou Brock batted .293 in 19 seasons, amassing a total of 3,023 hits. Brock was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985.

This road powder blue St. Louis Cardinals jersey was worn by Lou Brock during the 1976 season. It is tagged on the inside of the tail with a Rawlings size/wash tag and dual flag tags (one reads 1976, the other Set 2). 1976 was the only year Rawlings produced jerseys with this style flag tagging. The left sleeve of this jersey has a 1976 National League Centennial patch. Brock has signed the front of this jersey very boldly in black, and has added a "1976" inscription. This jersey exhibits good evidence of use – including wash wear (puckering to the letters and numbers), loose stitching, some minor staining, and some pilling/abrasions on the chest. A crease from years of storage is visible down the center of this jersey. This jersey is all original, which is extremely rare because most 1976 Cardinals jerseys were stripped of the 1976 patches and sent to the minors. This jersey was consigned by Rob Steinmetz.
