1980's GIANTS DRAFT PHONE...is this legit?
Hoping to get some help on this...it was sold to me as the actual draft phone used by the NY GIANTS in the 80's....is this legit? Value? Help as usual is appreciated

I have the Jaguars 1998 draft used phone, but that does not make me an expert. I believe the one pictured is real, looks very similar to mine. I paid somewhere between 150-200 if I remember right.

I guess there isn't a tell-tell factor, but I do know the company that produced them, sold them to the general public. People saw them on ESPN during the draft and started calling about them wanting to know if they could buy them, so the NFL started selling them. They also made them for MLB team and made lamps and such too. There was a yahoo article about it not too long ago.

So, I guess technically they could be considered authentic, but I don't know how you would be able to know if it was one actually used by a team during the draft unless you had a team signed LOA.

It did come with a COA from the manufacturer stating it was used at the draft.
