Re: December Pick-Ups Thread *HAPPY HOLIDAYS EDITION*

Waited quite awhile before I pulled the trigger on a Ryan Braun bat for my 2011 Brewers Team set. Last weekend I picked up one that was nicely beat up,was MLB authenticated and then I did some homework. Turns out I photomatched it to 7/19-7/24 (4 sources) and in the four games he played he hit four home runs. The bat died happy when he split it with an RBI double on 7/26 (also photomatched).

Needless to say, I was extremely happy to get one from his MVP season and a heavily used one at that. That lasted exactly 7 days before the gut punch of Saturday' annoucement. I still think it's a gem and will rest in my set and collection, but right now it's one bittersweet bat to me.

    1958 Brooks Robinson -

From his first full season, with great use all over the barrel and a large amount of scoring on the handle as well.

    By chance:
Did you buy this off the sales table at the Clubhouse Sale on Saturday afternoon??
I was talking to Renee and saw someone waiting patiently by the two Braun bats. I figured the gentleman I saw was about to pull the trigger on them.
    Keep enjoying your new purchase!

I can't solidly confirm whether he wore a 42 but I've only seen size 42 in pro-cut form.
Hmm, thanks for the info. I will say I know nothing at all about basketball, I'm just a Payton fan and secondly a Sonics fan.

Just for clarification, the one I have is a 42 with +2 length.
Always looking for Seattle Mariners & anything of Felix Hernandez, Jay Buhner, Richie Sexson and Arthur Rhodes.

Good news for you (and Mike). GP did indeed wear both 42 and 44. Confirmed by GP himself.
