    Nfl Durene Jerseys

I am thinning out my personal collection of old NFL durene jerseys. Contact me at gixc@verizon.net if you have questions or need photos. I pay shipping to any U.S. address. Will consider trades for World Football League jerseys.

    Mark Hayne

    CLEVELAND BROWNS
#36-Stephen Braggs (Texas) white durene - Sand Knit jersey circa 1988. Sewn-on numbers and lettering. 6 nice repairs. Tail shortened & hemmed (no tags remain), and sleeves cut below top brown stripe typical of Browns jerseys in that era - $250

#69-Joel Patten (Duke) brown durene - Medalist Sand Knit jersey from 1980 with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Cleveland Browns” tagging. Numbers and lettering on the name plate are screened-on. Jersey has been tapered and hemmed in the neck and shoulder area, but there are no obvious signs of game use. Patten played in 6 games for the Browns in 1980. MEARS COA - $250

#69-Dan Fike (Florida) white durene - MacGregor Sand Knit size 48 with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Cleveland Browns” tagging. Nice game use with 2 long repairs on the right shoulder and hit marks on both shoulders. Fike was a long-time starter on the offensive line for the Browns during the 1980s - $395

#75-Chris Pike (North Carolina & Tulsa) brown durene - Sand Knit size 48 with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Cleveland Browns” tagging. Circa 1989. Great game use with 3 repairs and numerous hit marks on the right shoulder and sleeve, a small hole through the first layer material near the neck on the right shoulder, a repair and hit marks on the left shoulder, and 4 repairs on the front of the jersey - $435

#87-J.J. Birden (Oregon) white durene - MacGregor Sand Knit size 44 with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Cleveland Browns” tagging. Birden was drafted by the Browns in 1988, but never played in a regular season game in 1988 (injured) or 1989. No obvious signs of game use - $250

    DALLAS COWBOYS
#59-Guy Brown (University of Houston) white durene – Southland size 50 with Southland tag in the tail and a Size 50 flag tag attached. Numbers are screened-on, but the sleeve stripes are part of the material. The jersey is more of a double-knit material than true durene. It shows decent game use with a repair on the “9” on the right shoulder, a repair above the “59” on the right shoulder, and a very small hole on the front right shoulder. The name plate is mesh and does not appear to be the original plate as there are stitch marks indicating that another plate was on the jersey at some point. Not sure who else could have worn the jersey as Brown played for Dallas from 1977 through 1982 - $375

    DETROIT LIONS
#15-Mickey Zofko (Auburn) blue durene – Sand Knit size 44 from early 1970s. Sleeves have been cut (not hemmed) below the bottom stripe which causes a slight roll making it look like it was cut at the bottom of the middle thick stripe. Jersey shows nice number puckering with hit marks on the left shoulder and a small hit on the back of the right shoulder - $675

    NEW YORK GIANTS
#91-Coleman Rudolph (Georgia Tech) white durene "throwback" from 1994. Apex size 44-Long with Apex tag in the tail and “44” and “Long” flag tags attached. NFL 75th Anniversary patch on the front left shoulder. Small hole on the right sleeve above the “1”, a hit mark on the right sleeve above the “9”, and a small tear at the top right corner of the name plate. Apex sleeve logos on each sleeve above the numbers - $250

    SAINT LOUIS CARDINALS
RED DURENE JERSEYS FROM THE 1960s
#67 - Wilson short sleeve durene jersey that was originally a long-sleeve jersey (sleeves have been shortened and hemmed). Wilson tail tag with the attached size tag washed out. Jersey shows great wear with 4 repairs on the left sleeve and a number of small holes throughout. Red jersey with white numbers sewn on the front and back and on both sleeves. NFL teams did not have player’s name-on-back until 1970. “Larry Stallings” is hand-printed on the front “6” and “St. Louis Cardinals” hand-printed in the middle of the front “6”. Stallings played for the Cardinals from 1963 to 1976, and the jersey appears to be from the early-to-mid 1960s based on my research and comparing to other Cardinals jerseys. COA included - $475

#79 - Wilson size 52 short-sleeve durene jersey. Wilson tail tag with the size (52) hand-written on the tag which was customary in that era for Wilson jerseys that were larger than size 46. Jersey shows great wear with 6 repairs on the left shoulder, 2 repairs on the right shoulder, 3 repairs on the front, a repair on the back, and repairs on both the “7” and the “9” on the back. Numbers are sewn on the front and back and on both sleeves. “Chuck Walker St. Louis Cardinals” is hand-printed on the front “7” and “Chuck Walker” is hand-written on the front “9”. I cannot vouch that this is his actual autograph. Walker played for the Cardinals from 1964 to early 1972 and made the Pro Bowl twice. The jersey appears to be from the early-to-mid 1960s based on my research and comparing to other Cardinals jerseys from that era. COA included - $475

    SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
#76-No name on back (red) - Wilson durene jersey size 48 with the classic “shiny” screened-on numbers that the 49ers used in the 1970s. Short sleeve jersey that was originally a long-sleeve jersey as the sleeves have been shortened and hemmed. No obvious signs of game use and no remnants of a nameplate - $225

    CALGARY STAMPEDERS
#96-(red knit) - Name on Back Removed - Russell size 48 crica late-1970s. Cold-weather K\knit (not mesh) jersey with screened-on numbers. Shows use with repair - $79
