Re: Players using others players bats or other equipment

Here's a link to the video of Manny Hitting his 542nd home run on Monday night, 8-31-09. I noticed he was using a Louisville Slugger. He seems to be using one a lot in the last couple of games.....I was wondering if he had ordered some?

When I got home, I watched the video. Upon closer inspection, he is using his teammates bat! You can clearly see the "14" on the knob at the beginning of the video....Juan Castro's bat!!

Just picked this up off ebay, thought it was pretty cool. Its a Roy White bat used by Willie Randolph. The bat has no White game use traits. It does have Willie's number and older style of his initital writing. Two Yankee fan favorites attributed to one bat!

Manny Ramirez with a Melvin Mora X-bat.

Manny Ramirez #24 of the Boston Red Sox bats against the Baltimore Orioles on May 14, 2008 at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland. The Orioles defeated the Red Sox 6 to 3.

Here's a couple pics I took this year:

Tommy Hanson Major League Debut - Yunel Escobar bat

Martin Prado - Tom Glavine Bat - Prado used the rest of Glavine's bats over a period of about 1-2 months. He used every last one left. He even had a Glavine Mets bat from 2 years ago!

Was looking at some old photo's... 1937 All-Star game...

    left to right...

Lou Gehrig, Joe Cronin, Bill Dicker, Joe DiMaggio, Charley Gehringer, Jimmie Foxx, and Hank Greenberg

Take a look at the bats Foxx and Greenberg are holding... looks like they traded bats
