The numbers are blue, the Patriots never used blue numbers. Even the photo he uses to show Bruschi wearing shows red numbers. I emailed the seller to tell him and he just said "Wow, I never noticed that." The auction is still on though.

It doesn't address the topic of this jersey, but the Patriots lately are a very good team that has worn some seriously ugly uniforms! The whole NFL is headed down the same design chute the NBA went down. More's the pity...

Good catch stew609. The funny thing is the guy put up a picture of Bruschi wearing the correct scheme.

Also, correct me if I am wrong but the Pats wore Apex jerseys in 1999.

They wore APEX in 93 and 98 for sure. I have a 97 gamer that is a Starter Pro line, and I know they wore that again in 98, but I'm not sure about 99.

On another post, I see some poor guy with a 58 feedback rating paid $351 for what he thinks is a Bledsoe Gamer. The people at eBay should be shot for allowing this to happen!

OMG...I saw the Bledsoe last week and it was obvious but the block numbers. I do feel bad if the sale actually when through. I just noticed that on the Bruschi auction the guy changed the picture to depict the current uniform. Interesting.

I do agree that a nice feature would be eBay hiring experienced people to detect these frauds and ban them. It is so bad for the trade.

Can you believe this guy!! He puts a picture of a totaly different style jersey to try and slip one by. Total SCUM this guy.

In the item description seller wrote "The jersey is is an extremely rare find. This jersey was obtained directly from Teddy and came right out of his locker. You can not purchase a jersey like this in stores."

I emailed the seller and asked where he got the jersey and he wrote, "It was purchased from the Patriots team store"
