Default Basil Hayden Kentucky 1921 Charm

My friends great grandfather was Basil Hayden. First All-American at Kentucky in basketball. He has a small basketball charm that is engraved with the following:

Large "K"
Captain Basil Haydon's name
-1921 South Championship

Any idea of the value?

Looks like rose gold. Is it marked? Nice item. If he puts it on eBay, let me know.

I would estimate it's at least $500. If it's solid gold (24 kt) or even 18 kt, then even more. Why? Kentucky's first basketball All American, comes from a family member, looks in great shape and Kentucky alumns are rabid about their basketball. If you have the presentation box, then even more value is added.

If you go to eBay, put a reserve on it for what you think it's worth.

Just my thoughts,
