I recently purchased a 2000-01 Biggio game used H 176 game used bat with the epoxy finish. I asked Taube and he said Biggio tried it for a brief period. Are there any indications from his PBOR that provides more info? Thanks in advance.
Note that I think the years are correct as the bat has the MLB logo with Major League Baseball underneath. Scott |

Not really, the epoxy was a harder finish and helped with the Ash delamenating. The problem was we couldn't control how much weight was added with the epoxy. Sometimes it was an ounce sometimes three. We would have to turn 24-30 bats just to make 12 correctly. Luckily, Biggio switched to Maple and the flaking issues went away.
