I would like to personally welcome everyone to the new Game Used Universe autograph forum. My name is Justin Priddy and I will be the moderator on these boards. I have been involved with autographs for over 18 years and I currently work as the head autograph authenticator for Global Authentication.

Through my years of witnessing in-person autographs and studying individuals’ signing habits and tendencies, I have been able to acquire a fair amount of knowledge regarding autographs. I also realize there are many other hobbyists out there who have a great amount of knowledge and experience that can help collectors make more informed decisions in the autograph industry. Whether helping learn more about fraudulent items in the marketplace or letting other collectors know how to acquire autographs directly, I am hoping this forum will bring autograph collectors together in an effort to help one another.

When I was approached by Game Used Universe about moderating this forum, I immediately saw the value it could add to the collecting community. I want to thank the people at GUU for this opportunity to be part of something I believe will dramatically help autograph collectors and I ask you to join me in helping make the hobby a better place for everyone. I look forward to reading your posts and growing together as an online community. Moreover, I hope that we all can use this as a place of learning so that we all can grow and share information.

Sincerely,
Justin Priddy
Autograph Forum Moderator

Justin,

Hi. Can you check out the Jeter signature on the game bat I have on this game used site:

1994 Derek Jeter Game Used Signed Columbus Clippers Bat - Gai Authenticated (http://www.gameuseduniverse.com/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=5833)
3arod13

Item was authenticated by GAI and bat verified by Mr. Cook of Hoosier Bat Company.

I'm getting beat down about this bat, as warranted, because the bat has the #2 (Jeter wore #13 with Columbus in 1994-1995, but did wear #2 in 1998 when he played a few games with Columbus during his rehab) on the knob and a post 1994 Jeter signature. I know the signature is 100% authentic (I have over 400 Jeter signatures from 1992 to present), but would still like your opinion. It is possible Jeter signed this later for someone he knew or had given the bat to later.

Thanks, 3arod13
