I have a game used bat (Marucci) TG3 Pro Model bat of Shin-Soo Choo. It was obtained directly from the Cleveland Indians and labeled 2010 game used bat.

I found pictures of Choo using this bat from 2010 season vs. the Angels at Anaheim.

On the knob of the bat and along with his #17 on it, it has a date of 2008 on it from (I believe August of 2008.....8/14/2008 if i recall correctly). Is there a reason for this? What is that date for on Marucci bat knobs? Is this the date the bat was made? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's date of production. He may have just been holding onto it for a while.
