After a review of Torgeson's personal H & B bat order records from 5-4-46 to 2-13-70, the first order of D89 is documented on 6-2-58. From that point model D89 became his model of choice, accounting for over 95 % of his orders between 6-2-58 to 2-13-70. If your center label is correct to the 1950 to 1960 time period, your bat can be narrowed down to 1958 (strong possibility), 1959 (very strong possibility), and 1960.

I was looking at a bat I can date by the label of a L.S. bat of Earl Torgeson from 1950-60 from Maltas book but was wondering if I can pinpoint it closer to a year than a 10 span. The model is D89. Thanks
