Re: Cal Ripken Jr. Bat Sept. 6, 1995 Camden Yards
Seller can get a quick opinion on his or her own stuff, and I did it as a seller.

Hello,
I was under the impression you could only do the psa/dna quick opinion on something you were bidding on, or are planning to bid on...not your own stuff.
Let me know.
Thanks again,LisaLeave a comment:

I should add that Goldin's COAs were small and easy to misplace, so I'm sure you husband is not the first to lost the COA.Leave a comment:

With eBay, you can do a PSA/DNA Quick Opinion-- PSA looks at your image of the sig and gives a quick opinion. If you say the bat came from QVC/Goldin and you have a PSA/DNA 'Likely Authentic' quick opinion, you should have no trouble getting bidders. I did a quick opinion on an autographed baseball-- it was $7.50 and easy to do. You get an email confirmation from PSA/DNA which you can print out and give to the winner. It takes about 12-24 hours to get the opinion.Leave a comment:

Re: Cal Ripken Jr. Bat Sept. 6, 1995 Camden Yards
Hello Everyone,
My husband does remembers a late night rondevous, with QVC (one of many) and a Cal Ripkin Bat. The problem is we have no certificate, letter, or whatever came with the bat.
What now???? Do I need it with this bat??? Or does the bat speak for itself????
I am planning on listing this on e-bay. How much should I list it for??? What do U think the most I could get??? And do you really think I need some sort of certificate for this bat????
Thanking you in advance.

Just for your information, Goldin was Ripken's official marketing representative for autographs, etc. So if you purchased the bat from QVC/Goldin, that's as good a provenance as any for a Ripken autograph.Leave a comment:

I think they originally sold thru QVC in that $300 range and it was defintely 1995 (after breaking the record). I did see one on Ebay the other day with a signed ball asking $389 (if my memory serves me right).Leave a comment:

Ok, QVC could be a possibility. Does anyone know how much they sold for???? Approximately. And were they sold in 1995????Leave a comment:

I believe they were sold by QVC/Ken Goldin shortly after Cal passed Gehrig in '95....Probably worth about $250-$300 or so.Leave a comment:

Luckily, there are plenty of Ripken guys here to assist you.Leave a comment:

Cal Ripken Jr. Bat Sept. 6, 1995 Camden Yards
Hello,
I really need help with this one. I came across an autographed Cal Ripken Jr. bat that I have no paperwork for (I have tons of autographed stuff in boxes in my attic). It is a black bat with the following info:
125 Louisville Slugger All of that is in an oval
Louisville, kentucky
made in USA
Powerized
September 6, 1995 On the bottom of all that is his autograph in silver
Camden yards sharpie.
1160 of 2131
Genuine P72
Cal Ripkin Jr. (engraved)
Baltimore Orioles
The bat is black with all of the above info in silver. I can not find any info on the internet for this bat. do you know how much it is worth or who distributed this bat???? Mounted Memories maybe??? Any info would help.
Thanks,
