Maybe an extra jersey the club sent down to the minors?

I think the Dodgers last placed their Russell tags in the tail in 1996, but I've seen 1997 Dodgers jerseys with the Jackie Robinson patch on a 1996-tagged jersey (Raul Mondesi and Chad Fonville, to name a couple). In 1997, the tags moved inside the left front tail.

The Mets also butt-tagged their 1998 AIS jerseys.

Any Dodger collectors out there, did Hershiser wear size 40?

    Kind Regards,

    Ron.

Good catch. I didn't notice the size 40. I have seen mostly sizes 44-46 in his Dodger years, and 46-48 later in his career. Glad to learn that the tail tag is not necessarily a warning sign.

    Thx for the advice.

this '92 hershiser on ebay is missing the dodgers stadium patch that they wore all season, on both home and road jerseys.

Almost forgot...could that be a minor league jersey? In '92, did road greys have "Dodgers" on front?

This is done so the outline of the red tag, does not show through under the pants, when tucked in.

I have seen Dodger tagging like that in both Rawlings and Russell made jerseys. I would not be concerned over the placement.

I have never seen a tag in this spot before, but my experience is pretty limited. Has anyone ever seen a baseball jersey tagged this way? It is supposed to be a 1992 jersey, tagged as set 1 1992.

    Thoughts?
