I know that the jersey is a retail authentic, but it is still mis-attributed. I would not want anything in my collection that was mis-attributed regardless of whether the autograph was legit or not which is why I pointed it out.

Well, I don't know anything about Ryan Howard (or baseball in general) autographs, but I don't think the question is about the jersey... the OP's question is about the autograph. If you check out the eBay auction, it's clearly a retail jersey. One of the pictures has the tags hanging off of the collar.
If I'm wrong and your question was about the actual jersey itself, then I'm sorry and you can just ignore me :-P
