Re: Need Basketball Help with 1st Year Miami Heat Jerseys
I checked Getty Iamges for 1988-89 season images. The Heat gamers in the photos ALL had a significant drop (like the MJ-era Bulls) for the NOB, and the numbers were situated lower than most teams. I normally enjoy this seller's offerings on eBay, but I think he got stung on this one.

Re: Need Basketball Help with 1st Year Miami Heat Jerseys
In the 1988-89 season, Sand Knit made retail jerseys, with no NOBs of certain uniform numbers. I don't know if they made number "55". The gamers did use year tags, the retails did not. The absence or presence of a year tag doesn't authenticate the jersey.
The NOB, "Thompson" looks a bit jumbled and close together.Leave a comment:

Can you post a link to the jersey in question?
MacGregor Sand-Knit made Heat jerseys in the 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons, then Champion through the 90s.Leave a comment:

Need Basketball Help with 1st Year Miami Heat Jerseys
Trying to learn about 1st year Miami Heat jersey tagging.I noticed that the black jerseys have year tag and length tag.I am looking at one on ebay and curious why the white do not?Or should they also?Where they ordered early on and year tagging not used? Is it a jersey from 1990 Not 88? Believe it was Sand-Knit for the early years. What year did the style first change?Looking to add some to my football collection. Thanks!
