Re: 2 Alex Rodriguez Fielding Gloves On Ebay
sounds good. game model and game issued could have the same glove specification, correct? the difference is that game model and game issue is that game model will never see the lockerroom because it was never intended for game use.
if a glove is made game ready by a player by breaking it in, then it is game issued. i never understood game ready on a game model glove.

Re: 2 Alex Rodriguez Fielding Gloves On Ebay
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Game Model the correct terminiology.
I mean that is what you would call a fielding glove that was modeled after what the player uses? isn't it?
Game Issued means actually made specifically for the player to wear. Game Model means just that. Game Model.
Here is an example.

Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure myself.

For some collector who doesn't know any better, they may see what looks like game use in the pocket, and may jump on it thinking they got a great deal.Leave a comment:

Re: 2 Alex Rodriguez Fielding Gloves On Ebay
hi tony,
you meant $1300 i am sure. dont think this fact gave the item a boost.
dont think you can call it game issued. what do you call the model gloves being offered by alexrodriguez13 right now on ebay then?
it doesnt matter he will get close to the amount he is asking.

Re: 2 Alex Rodriguez Fielding Gloves On Ebay
I emailed the seller again, stating the following: "I'm glad you did the right thing and changed it. However, you should mention this is an upperdeck authenticated glove. Stating it's a game model glove will make collectors think this is a real glove. G in Rodriguez is a Q, proving it's not a game model glove."
Hope they do the right thing.

Re: 2 Alex Rodriguez Fielding Gloves On Ebay
on the ebay glove, is this a tell tale sign that someone is doctoring a glove? seems as though they always use excessive oil in the pocket.Leave a comment:

Re: 2 Alex Rodriguez Fielding Gloves On Ebay
Joel,
Emailed the seller and informed him it was an Upperdeck glove. He changes the price from $10,000 to $13,000 and changes description from Game Used to Game Model.
Game Model? That means it's a game issued, correct?

Joel,
Good eye. Those gloves keep coming up every so often as Arod Gamers. I even got burned on one in the past. The glove was made to look like it had a lot of use. Luckily, I filed a complaint via paypal and got my money back. Seller refused to refund.
