I'll guess..........$85,000-100,000+ for that home run ball. Remember, he plays in New York for the Bronx Bombers. It's the single most desireable milestone homerun ball of the "500" home run club hitters, their 500th.
The only downside(s) to this offering is the steroid connection, and the economy. Otherwise, the skies the limit on this one.
if youre online there 5 minute left on extended period time and they havent met reserve. the ball might not sell. someone could get lucky and make a last minute bid if the next bid hits the reserve.
Anybody who has the means to bid on an item like this has a following of friends who would let them know about it in the strange event that they missed it, I would think.

im curious what is the format of the auction, live or internet, for the other home run baseballs that were on that 2003 list and others you mentioned. let me see if i can find some info.
do you think it would fetch more if it was a live auction? at least you would know who your competition was.
