Re: Anyone want to try to guess what this is?
To me, the tags look too new to be used from 2001.

here's the tags to the Tejada jersey and to me it doesn't look right, anyone else's opinions. (I know the link won't work, so if you are interested please check out the sight) http://www.historicauctions.com/sear...imageid/72195/
I personally would have too many questions about this one to feel comfortable.Leave a comment:

Re: Anyone want to try to guess what this is?
Knowing how the Mets run their farm system, I'm sure if they held on to him they would of said he was the next Manny Ramirez, but when he got his at-bats as a Met, he would of looked more like Victor Diaz. And to only think Victor was the next Manny...and so lucky that the Mets had him to be a bust. Anyway, here's the tags to the Tejada jersey and to me it doesn't look right, anyone else's opinions. Re: Anyone want to try to guess what this is?
Not long after he was drafted by the Expos, he was dealt to the Mets and played in their farm system for the 2002 season. I wonder what success the Mets would have had if they had only held onto this talent for a little while instead of trading for high priced / washed up talent.Leave a comment:

Re: Anyone want to try to guess what this is?
The Bay is most likely a 2000 Vermont Expos (NY-Penn League) jersey. Bay's first year in pro ball was with Vermont in 2000. I have a very similar jersey, right down to the Russell tag, of another Vermont Expo fom 2000 (guy named Bolson), and that was Bolson's ONLY year in pro ball. A 1-year carryover, especially on a minor league jersey, doesn't seem very far-fetched. In fact, given the Expos budget limitations, they both may be late 1990s Expos MLB BP jerseys that were sent to the minors where screened-n NOBs were added.

Also take a look at the Tejada jersey on historic. The tags on that have me guessing whether or not it's authentic.Leave a comment:

Not sure about that jersey. The tagging is pre 2000 tagging as Russell changed tagging after the 99 season.Leave a comment:

The jersey appears to be the same style that he is wearing on his 2002 topps rookie card.

Hi, Jason Bay was a part of the Expos organization back in about 2002, I believe. I also believe that he was drafted by the Expos.

There's no way on Earth it's what the description is and from what I know Jason Bay was never part of the Expos or Blue Jays organization. http://www.historicauctions.com/sear...ctionid/58543/
