    Re: Fake Jim Zorn jersey?

Some would be surprised. There has been at least one instance where such a "very highly respected forum member" knowingly tried to sell a fake jersey. I know from asking about an item being offered for sale by that member, then watching him try to hawk it on ebay, then an auction house. Who knows where it is now. Hope it's in his closet.

Personally, I am not surprised this item was being questioned. It is the right thing to do. Somewhat interesting a certain member never chimed in.

Then again, the V neck collar thing, a common thing? Again, I'm not the jersey expert.

That break in the collar, I was referring to, was in the auction jersey. Doesn't seem to be in the 1982 Zorn jersey pics.

Yes, it is a commonly used term. Especially in regards to the older jerseys, as many players refered to their old jerseys as "shirts".

Mickey Mantle even inscribed one of his gamers as his "My (enter year here) shirt". I just can't remember the year. If I can find it in an older auction catalog, I'll post it here.

The seller has had over 96 hrs to reply and hasn't. Anyone can fake a letter. Or switch an authenticated jersey with a fake one.

Is this Howards jersey? If it is, I dont see what light needs to be shed!!

Its no wonder, THIS IS WHY!!!!!
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here? I believe this discussion helps validate Howard's jersey, as well as, helps shed some light on Zorn jersey's, for that time period, in general. This post shouldn't be deleted because that's the whole point of this forum; 'Auction Item Discussion'.

The original poster had valid points to be skeptical, thus, showing some pictures to help ID it helps us all. What am I missing, er what's the big deal?

I would appreciate it if someone could confirm. I am pretty sure the numbers should be bigger, and that there should be a year on the tag, and that Champion didn't make game jerseys for the Seahawks in the 70's/80's.

Actually, correcting myself, it doesn't look like he did this in '82.
