I don't think I'm outing anything. I'm sure all of us Reds fans have already seen this on eBay. But I'm a little puzzled. The team-issued certificate is dated 9/15/80 and the pitcher is listed as J. Curtis SF. Knight did hit a homerun that day against the Giants, but it was against Bob Knepper. Oddly enough, Curtis played for the Giants 77-79. In 1980 he was playing for the Padres.
Is this just a mistake by the Reds gift shop? Seems like a strange mistake to make.
