The shipping fee is reasonable, only $150.00 duckies...
Believe it or not, shipping can be really expensive on heavy and irregular sized items. $150 Priority Mail for something that big and 20 lbs doesn't surprise me in the least. A few months ago, I paid roughly $120 to ship a 40 lb. 20 in. x 11.5 in. x 22 in. ceramic squirrel sculpture from Arizona to Seattle UPS Ground. I'd seen it at an art fair here in Washington but didn't have the money to purchase at that time. I could only imagine what it would have cost, had I paid for Priority Mail. So I don't think this seller is trying to rip anybody off. Plus, he says to contact him beforehand to arrange the specifics. He may have just been putting a value down for shipping because eBay requires it.
Because of the popularity of Felix and that commercial they added a Bernandez Bobblehead night and even started a King's court where many of the fans there dressed up like Larry. There was another commercial later in the season just before the Larry bobble was released. The normal "Hernandez" jersey from that later commercial went for $850 or 950 BIN at auction.
As much as I'd love to get this, looking at the prices for the other items, I doubt I'd meet the reserve, plus I'd want to see the Mariners Care paperwork that came with it stating what the jersey is. For those that don't know, when Mariners Care sells a commercial worn jersey, they include a copy of that commercial on cd and mail out a COA.
I'd love to own this (and I'm not even a Mariners fan). I'm definitely curious to know what the final bid will be. It was definitely one of the best commercials from any team in 2011 in my opinion
