    Re: Are these legit?

Plus arguing with the umps all the time gets old , I prefer the calm ones who pick their battles.

I just went with the article, wallach being moved didnt really hit my radar to be honest but runnels real problem was no none liked him. He did bed checks on the road, no one really liked his personality, Alou swooped in and the rest is history.

    Re: Are these legit?

I don't think moving Wallach to first was a horrible idea, so much as one that didn't work out as expected. Berry was a better defender with marginally better range at third, and Barberie was also showing better range at third. Essentially, Wallach was an aging player who was a fan favorite. He had trouble getting to a lot of balls, and the ones he did get to, weren't exactly fielded cleanly.

Yes, having a .220 hitter at first isn't optimal, but if you're going to have that .220 hitter in the lineup no matter what, better to have him clogging up first base to allow your younger players to develop at premium positions. Remeber, after Alou took over in '92, it wasn't like Wallach ended up a full time 3B... more like 75-80%.

Sure, Runnels may have been a bit crazy, but Wallach shouldn't be considered one of the problems. After all, even though it's a small sample, Wallach performed about 10% better at the plate as a 1B in 1992. Essentially, in 1992, Wallach was a .230 1B with great defense and excellent raneg or a .210 3B with mediocre defense and sub-par range. Runnels went with the numbers, and it didn't work for him.

He moved Tim wallach to first base. That alone was enough.

Google him and how well liked he was among expos players and fans...you'll see why. Let's just say he thought showing up at spring training in full camo and in an army jeep was a good way to start of as manager....he lasted a very short while , until they replaced him with Felipe Alou

Why would you want to erase the third base coach?

Yeah, that's a pretty good deal. The JSA is a nice bonus, but, again, I wouldn't worry too much about it one way or the other. The Walker, Raines and Martinez look good, so I wouldn't worry too much about the others.

JSA doesn't matter too much to me for valuing the ball. I think it's a good deal for $25-$35, probably average deal for $50. Much more than $60, and you're overpaying.

So cool, thanks. It's like a rookie signature the 90 expos were like my childhood players so this ball was a huge find!

Right. The autographs I posted were from the 80s. His current signature looks nothing like that.
