Edgardo Alfonso 2000-2006 Signed Carolina Clubs Game Used Bat

When with the Mets and Giants, Alfonso was regarded as one of the best defensive infielders in the major leagues. He had his best power numbers in 1999 (27 home runs, 108 RBIs, 41 doubles) and 2000 (25 home runs, 94 RBIs, 40 doubles). He was a clutch hitter and posted career numbers of a .284 BA, 146 Home Runs and 744 RBI's in his 12 year major league career..
This 34 inch, 33 ounce black lacquered bat was manufactured by Carolina Clubs during the period 2000-2006. Game use evident on this bat includes ball marks and hit marks primarily above the barrel label, and some grain separation and loss of wood at the back of the barrel, caused by repeated contact with the ball. Two very small chips appear to the bottom left of the barrel label as well. Alfonso has prepared the handle of this bat with a spiral tape application that extends approximately 8 inches from the knob and which shows dirt and wear. Alfonso's uniform number 13 is written on the knob of this bat in silver marker.
Alfonso has penned a 5-inch signature on the sweet spot of this bat, adding his uniform number to the autograph. This bat displays exceptionally well and is a strong example from Alfonso's days with the Mets and Giants. View Lot Detail page
