This bat, which measures 34 inches in length and weighs approximately 32 ounces, was manufactured by Worth and has labeling consistent with Worth professional model bats during the period 1983-1988, characterized by the outlined Worth name in the center label. As common with Worth bats, the knob is stamped with the player's initials (SS), the length (4) and the model (W5K). Sax' uniform number, 3, has been written on the knob in black marker as well, and also appears on the barrel end in silver marker. This natural / black two-tome gamer is uncracked and contains hit marks on the barrel which have produced slight swelling of the grain. Ball marks and rack marks are also evidenced on this bat, as are very light pine tar remnants. .
Steve Sax has signed his name in gold marker just below the center label, enhancing the display value of this bat from this two-time World Champion.View Lot Detail page
