Offered here is a true relic for Oakland Raiders fans. This is the first Raiders Super Bowl II AFL jersey ever to surface. Jerseys from this period are very tough to find let alone a Raiders, unwashed, Super Bowl jersey of this magnitude. This one is offered and personifies the history of Super Bowl II. Kocourek played 9 years in the AFL for the Raiders, Chargers, and the Dolphins. He was a 4 time pro bowler while starring as a TE for the AFL San Diego Chargers. He compiled 24 touchdowns in the AFL. This black durene short sleeve jersey still remains in its unwashed state from Super Bowl II. The 6 button crotch piece is still intact. It still sports the "Sand-Knit" size 44 tag in the tail.
Kocourek's #88 is sewn on front, back and both sleeves in silver tackle twill. On back above the number sewn on a black durene nameplate is "KOCOUREK" in silver tackle twill. The NOB is done in the traditional vintage AFL 2" letters. All the numbers and letters show tremendous use with puckering and fraying throughout. The shirt has 7 team repairs. There are 2 major repairs in the numbers. Each go through a number 8 on front and back. There are still grass stains on the back #88. The unwashed durene SB II jersey is the first and only of its kind to ever find its way to the secondary market. It is sourced directly from Kocourek himself and is accompanied with a letter from Kocourek.View Lot Detail page
