Dave Kingman 1984-85 Oakland A's Worn Warm-Up Jacket (Dave Kingman LOA)

David Kingman, nicknamed "Kong" and "Sky King", had a great career with the seven teams he played with, including the Mets and Yankees. In his 16-season career, Dave Kingman batted .236, with 442 home runs, 1210 runs batted in, 901 runs scored, 1575 hits, 240 doubles, 25 triples and 85 stolen bases in 1941 games played. He also struck out 1,816 times, then the 4th-highest total in history. He was named to the National League All-Star team three times (1976-1979-1980). He captured two home run titles, in 1979 and 1982, displaying the power that caused Mets broadcaster (and Hall of Famer) Ralph Kiner to remark, "Kingman can hit them out of any park, including Yellowstone."

This green satin Starter jacket was worn by slugger Dave Kingman during the 1984 or 1985 season. Kingman wore #10 with the A's in 1984 and part of 1985 only, then switched to #26. This jacket exhibits good overall wear, and is a size XXL. Kingman's #10 is hand-written in black on the tag in the collar. There is also a Starter ID tag inside the bottom of the jacket, which Kingman did not write his name on. This jacket is accompanied by a signed LOA from Dave Kingman.

This item was consigned by Rob Steinmetz.
