New York Giants Super Bowl XLII Team Autographed Football - 45 Signatures! (PSA/DNA LOA)

Super Bowl XLII featured the National Football Conference (NFC) champion New York Giants and the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots in an American football game to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2007 season.

In one of the most significant upsets in Super Bowl history, Super Bowl XLII ended with the New York Giants beating the heavily favored New England Patriots, preventing the Patriots from becoming the first undefeated NFL team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins went 17–0. While New England was denied their place in history, the Giants cemented theirs by becoming the first NFC wild card team to win a Super Bowl.

The outcome of the game looked uncertain when New England scored a touchdown to take the lead 14–10 lead with 2:42 left. Then came one of the most incredible plays in Super Bowl history. Facing a third down and five from their own 44-yard line with 1:15 remaining, Giants quarterback Eli Manning avoided what looked like a certain sack and completed a 32-yard pass to wide receiver David Tyree, who made a leaping catch by pinning the ball on his helmet which put them at New England's 24-yard-line. Four plays later, New York wide receiver Plaxico Burress caught the winning touchdown with 0:35 left. Manning, who threw both of his touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, was named the Most Valuable Player.

This beautiful Super Bowl XLII souvenir football has 45 signatures from the New York Giants Championship team, including the Super Bowl MVP Manning. The ball was signed by the team right after their victory and has been authenticated by PSA/DNA.

The winner of the item well also receive the LOA from PSA/DNA. View Lot Detail page
