Carlos Lee 2007 Rawlings Professional Model Used, Autographed Bat

Carlos Lee made his major league debut with the Chicago White Sox on May 7, 1999, hitting a home run in his first-ever Major League at-bat. Lee was the White Sox' starting left fielder for the first six years of his career. He can hit for both average and power. From 2001–02, his batting average slumped to the .260s, but he has returned to exceeding .300, and has a career average of .288. His home run totals increased over the years. His best showing was with the Brewers in the National League with 114 RBI. He was selected for the National League All-Star team in his first two seasons as a Brewer, and participated in the Home Run Derby in 2005.

On November 24, 2006, Lee agreed to a six-year, $100 million contract with the Houston Astros. Since signing with the Astros, Lee has established himself as one of the premier hitters in the National League. Lee had a very productive first year in Houston, hitting .303 with 32 home runs and driving in 119 runs. In 2008 his totals stayed high, batting .314 with 28 home runs and 100 RBIs.

This uncracked, heavily used bat, manufactured by Rawlings in 2007, is a great Carlos Lee gamer, and is just pounded with use. Measuring 34.25 inches and weighing approximately 32 ounces, this natural finish beauty shows hit marks and ball marks (most above the label), rack marks on the barrel, and worn pine tar application along the handle, extending to the red Rawlings color ring. The knob has characteristic Rawlings stampings of model (456CL), batch code (431) and year code (07.) Additionally, Lee's name and the weight of this bat are written in pencil on the knob. Finally, Lee's uniform number, 45, is written both on the knob and in the cupped barrel end in black marker. There is an area of grain swelling above the sweet spot and barrel label that does not affect the display of this bat at all.

Carlos Lee has signed this bat in black Sharpie on the sweet spot. The signature is large and pristine, measuring a full 6 inches in length, and includes his uniform number below his signature. This is an outstanding gamer from one of baseball's most productive hitters.View Lot Detail page
