Jack Clark's 1978 Record Setting Giants Hitting Streak Baseball (Jack Clark LOA)

Jack Clark was a right-handed slugger and clutch hitter from 1975 through 1992, who played for the San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and New York Yankees, among others. He was a four time All-Star and was a hero for the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1985 NL Championship Series with a dramatic game 6 ninth inning home run.

This Charles Feeney Official National League baseball was hit by Jack Clark on July 23, 1978. It was a single of John Candeleria of the Pirates that broke Willie McCovey's team record of hitting safely in 24 straight games. This is the actual ball hit by Clark that extended his hitting streak to 25 games. His 26-game hitting streak (set in 1978) still stands as the longest hitting streak in team history. Clark inscribed this ball on one panel with "25th Game Hitting Streak July 23, 1978 vs. Pirates John Candeleria; Broke Willie McCovey's Record of 24 Consecutive Games with ate last 1 hit 1RBI; San Francisco Giants broke 15 year old record 7/23/78". This ball is also signed by Clark in ballpoint pen, and comes with a signed LOA from Clark himself.
