Vladimir Guerrero 2004-2007 X-Bat Professional Model Game Used Bat

An eight-time All-Star, Vladimir Guerrero is widely recognized as one of the best all-around players in Major League Baseball because he regularly hits for power, has a high average, steals bases, and is credited with one of the strongest outfield arms in baseball. Guerrero is also regarded as the game's premier "bad ball hitter" for his ability to crush balls thrown outside of the strike zone. Veteran pitcher Jamie Moyer described Guerrero's style: "I say this respectfully: he's a freak. He's a very good hitter without a strike zone. He can hit the ball in, hit the ball off the plate away, hit the ball up and go get the ball that's down. He covers the plate, and beyond." Over his 13-year career, Guerrero has compiled a .325 BA with 365 home runs and 1177 RBIs. He has won 7 Silver Slugger awards, and has been an 8-time All Star with the Expos and Angels. He won the AL Most Valuable Player Award in 2004, and for the past 8 years has been closest by age statistically to Willie Mays.

This bat was manufactured by "X-Bat by Tuff Bats" and bears Vladimir Guerrero's name stamped on the barrel. The bat has X-Bat professional labeling consistent with the 2004=2007 label period. The Model Number 24 appears on the barrel of this bat. The bat has a two-tone finish, with a black finished handle and a brown maple finish on the barrel. It measures 34 inches in length and currently weighs approximately 33.5 ounces. The number 27 is evident on the knob of this bat written in silver marker. Guerrero has worn uniform number 27 since his rookie season in 1986 with the Expos and during the past 5 seasons with the Angels. The model, weight, and length of this bat are consistent with known examples of Guerrero's game used bats. This bat exhibits heavy game use characteristics, including moderate pine tar residue on the handle, and a very heavy application beginning 11 inches from the knob and extending 12 inches into mid-label. Numerous hit marks and ball marks are evident, as well as several rack marks and cleat marks. There is a slight non-displaced handle crack approximately 13 inches from the knob which is virtually invisible and does not affect the display of this bat in any way.

This is an opportunity to obtain an outstanding bat from one of baseball's superstars who consistently puts up Hall of Fame numbers. This bat is from a period in Vladimir Guerrero's career with the Angels when he hit between .317 and .337 each season, hammered 131 home runs, drove in 475 runs, and finished in the top ten in MVP balloting each year, winning the award in 2004. It doesn't get any better than this.View Lot Detail page
