Simply stated, Albert Pujols is one of the best players in the game today. In 2007, he became the first player in baseball history to hit 30 or more home runs in each of his first seven seasons. Pujols is also the first player since Ted Williams to begin his career with seven straight 100 RBI seasons. In addition to winning the Rookie of the Year Award in 2001, Albert also was the National League MVP in 2005. He has made six appearances on the All-Star team, has won three Silver Slugger Awards, and captured his first Gold Glove Award in 2006.
