Presented here is an actual base used in a game between the NY Yankees and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on September 1, 2007. The base is a standard Schutt Sports version (Jack Corbett, Original Hollywood) with the MLB logo imprinted on it. The side panel of the base sports the NY Yankees logo and the top of the base is covered with infield dirt from Historic Yankee Stadium. On the day, this base saw quite a bit of activity as the Yankees beat the Devil Rays 9-6 with Alex Rodriguez touching this base after hitting his 45th home run of the year.
This base has been signed by former Yankee Manager Joe Torre with the inscription "Yankees Skipper 96-07". It is a limited edition piece with each one numbered out of 107. This particular base is numbered 23/107. An absolutely must have for Torre fans or any baseball fan wishing to have a unique, limited and autographed memorabilia piece from Torre's tenure with the Yankees.
