I did see a few GU batting Helmets for $100, and 2 GU signed Smoltz jersey's for $1200.

They always have tons of helmets lying around, but most have the stickers taken off. There were though 2 Chris Woodward helmets with the numbers still on. The Smoltz jerseys have been there forever.......maybe someday they'll put those on sale for $10 a piece

Mike Hampton signed for $50 seems like a nice deal to me, especially as an Astros fan.

In terms of the overpricing in the clubhouse store, have you guys tried talking to the manager? I know in Houston you can always save A LOT of money on the game used bats sold at Minute Maid by haggling with the manager.

Thanks again for the heads up!! I picked these up today on my lunch break!! A Mike Hampton bat, signed- they were asking $300- I got for $50
A Scott Thorman bat unsigned- asking $150- got for $50

They were asking way too much at first. I guess they weren't moving any of them, hopefully the prices will be much lower from now on. I did see a few GU batting Helmets for $100, and 2 GU signed Smoltz jersey's for $1200.

You got a nice deal, but didn't save over $500. Those prices were rediculous to start with. Put 'em up for sale on ebay to see what I mean!
