Here's the 500th HR ball that was given back to Manny and will be auctioned for charity. Notice the M above the MLB logo.

Congrats to Manny on hitting his 500th & 501st. Mannys the best right handed hitter in the game!

Manny used a SSK to hit the 500th:

The proud owner of the HR #500 bat-Julio Lugo

"And Julio Lugo [stats] would be the sole person to declare himself the proud owner of the bat which Ramirez promised he would give his teammate upon becoming the 24th member of the 500-homer club."

Oh I completely agree with you on that I wish the roids debate would disappear myself. I wasn't really referring to roids in my comment I just meant that with players today playing longer and the average HR totals up due to better conditioning I think that 500 HR's, while still a great accomplishment, will not be a benchmark for the HoF in the future.

Yeah on Friday he went to the plate 4 times with ours and got only one hit so he switched back to the SSK...oh well, win some lose some

I'm just glad we finally figured out what he was looking for.

He used an M9 twice on 5/30 and popped up in both at bats. I think he would have hit that pitch out with a wiffle ball bat, that thing was jacked.

I'm pretty sure it was a SSK.

I think its debatable how "elite" 500 HR's are in this generation. I am fairly sure that with the new generation of players coming up 600 may be the benchmark in the near future.

well he hit it finally. Couldn't tell what he was swinging from the camera shot I had though. Hopefully he hit it using your stuff.
