Dear Members,

I know we discussed this before and I was well aware of the Strawberry Mets 1990 Scoreboard Jerseys but I just came across this on ebay.

Is this another Scorboard Jerseys UI was not aware Scoreboard also did them for Strawberry in 1991???

I didn't think Scoreboard authenticated outside items back in the day, only COA'd their own retail items/signings? If so, that alone would indicate this is a retail jersey, wouldn't it?

It doesn't necessarily indicate this to be a retail jersey, but it is a retail jersey. The fact that I have never seen such an item from Scoreboard that is game used being sold doesn't matter - This jersey fits with all the other Scoreboard jerseys we have seen from time to time and there is nothing to make us believe this is a game used jersey except for the fact that the seller says it is game used.

Not like any proof is needed, but I believe the "R" and "A" are clearly different fonts:




Finally, I just emailed the seller with the following question that I will post his reply if one is received:

Just curious, what makes this jersey a "game used" jersey and not a pro-cut jersey? The Scoreboard COA is for the autograph only and they sold numerous pro-cuts jerseys during this exact era that were tagged the same way and never sold as "game used".

Please advise.
