Re: Question on baseball Team USA jersey
Yours is a beautiful jersey, and for $5, you can't go wrong; again, whether mine was ever worn, or just issued, is something I've been trying to figure out for about the last 6-7 years!!? LOL!Leave a comment:

Re: Question on baseball Team USA jersey
Thanks Tim. The sizing tends to point to mine NOT being authentic. His playing weight says he was 160 and was 5-11. Unless he was 50 lbs over his playing weight he probably wasn't a size 46.
I have no idea of the origin of this piece. I paid less the $5 for it so I didn't exactly take a bath on it. And since I am a size 46 (the reason I bought it) I have something neat to wear.
Unless someone wants to offer me $100 for it, I'll just keep it and wear it for fun.
Thanks again.Leave a comment:

Re: Question on baseball Team USA jersey
Nick,
Your jersey looks a lot like mine, except mine does not have the name on back; however, mine is a size 38, so who knows? I know mine was brought back to GSU from the 84 games in LA by Coach Jack Stallings.Leave a comment:

Re: Question on baseball Team USA jersey
Thanks Tim. The tagging looks correct, I take it yours were gamers? Mine is a size 46 with the name on the back.
Besides the number, the only difference I can see is the exact placement of the patch on the left sleeve. It is to the right of where your sample is located. While this neither verifies or denies game use, it might be of importance.
There are a couple of tiny black spots on the name on the back, apparently used for centering.
Because Dedeaux was a coach, of course, there is little to no dirt on it.
I'll post pictures when I can.Leave a comment:

Re: Question on baseball Team USA jersey
Nick,
I would say it is quite possibly very legitimate; if you look at the photos I have uploaded in my "Team USA Baseball" thread, you'll see a "#1" jersey from 1984, without the name on back. I actually sent Rod Dedeaux's family the blue jersey from the LA games the week he passed away?
Tim
Thanks.

Oh, and it is missing the oval patch on the right sleeve. The outline is visible, however.Leave a comment:

Question on baseball Team USA jersey
I just found a red Rod Dedeaux team USA jersey that I think might be authentic. Everything is stitched on including the name, number, 1, and on the left sleeve, a Baseball USA patch. It has a red Rawlings tag on the front left shirt tail with the words Action Tailored, size 46. There is no neck tag and it has an extra long tail.
Could I be that lucky? Any idea on where I could get it authenticated? The seller is zero help - long story.
Thanks,
NickTags: None
