If I recall Herb died right before the season started in 2006, maybe the day or two befoere the season started. So The Twins used black arm bar for the first week or so of the season, until they had time to come up with and produce the patch. I'm sure some Twins jersey expert may even know how many games the black band was on till they put the Herb patch on in place of black band. Why would they leave black arm bar on when they made a patch for him?

It was removed. The arm bar was used for only the first couple of weeks in honor of Herb Carneal. A patch then replaced the bar for the remainder of the season. You can see the stitching outline of the bar on the jersey sleeve.

Yes it is a gamer and is photomatched.

It probably wasn't bought from the game used section because others saw it wasn't a gamer. Sorry you had to buy it to find that out. But, on the bright side, you have a nice Twins jersey to wear around town

Got this in the mail today. Just as I suspected, it is a gamer. Not only that but I have photomatched it to Opening Day. You can see the stitch marks were the black arm band was removed and replaced with the Herb patch. Buying it at this price was unreal but the fact that it was listed for over a day in the game used category without someone buying it is hard to comprehend.
