I've noticed some players still using all black bats, even LS's from this year. How is that allowed?Leave a comment:

Re: pedroia two-tone M9
I noticed Pedroia using all blond S318 and also T161 bats , both with the 125th logo on them. Are you saying he only ordered 2-tone bats this year??Leave a comment:

Re: pedroia two-tone M9
1. No Maple bat is to have more than 2.8 degree Slope of Grain for at least 2/3 length of the bat.
2. No defects in wood such as pin knots, curly wood, etc.
3. All colored Maple bats are to be half dip, no more full dip black or dark color bats. Handles must be clear or no finish.
4. A black stain spot is to be put 12 inches from the knob on the handle to determine slope of grain.
5. The production dates are to put on the knobs of bats.
6. Inspections of bats in the field and quarterly manufacturing inspections are to be carried out by a MLB approved auditor.Leave a comment:

Wow, that reads like a drunken sailor wrote it....
Anyway, all his orders this year have been two toned because of the new MLB rules.Leave a comment:

You need to be a paying member to post in that area. Of course, being the nice guy he is, he frequently answers such questions outside of that area.Leave a comment:
