Re: Is it a photo match?
That is what I do.
Really, it took all of 5 minutes on Getty. That's a very resourceful site.

Wow looks like you found it. I have no idea how you found that picture, I've been looking all over for pictures and have never seen that picture before.Leave a comment:

Re: Is it a photo match?
One thing that I noticed in the last set of pics is the 'E' that Dep mentioned.
The 'E' on your jersey does not appear to come across the sleeve seem (the lighter blue part of the sleeve). In the game photo the top corner of the 'E' is clearly on that seem.Leave a comment:

Now that angle looks like a possibility. The E drops lower than the G in both pics.Leave a comment:

Re: Is it a photo match?
My collar is pointed, the picture doesn't show that. As for examples, the pictures I have are the only ones available, and probably the only ones out there. Triple-X, I'm not as fortunate as you to have the game broadcasted, and/or a bunch of pictures of that jersey. It was only briefly worn. My guess that it is the jersey only because I think for a ST jersey they may only get one especially when you are a minor leaguer. But I'm not positive that's just my guess.Leave a comment:

The collars look totally different to me. One is more rounded and one more pointed.Leave a comment:

Re: Is it a photo match?
Here's a good example. Look at where the the shoulder pads line up on Brian's left shoulder and the look at the 5 on the jersey when it is laid out. The shoulder pad marks align perfectly.
Now look at the gloves, those traits are highlighted with the circles. Down to the 1/16" thread that is coming from the NFL Equipment Shield.....
Like I said, you are on the right path but there needs to be EXCLUSIVE evidence in order to call it a "Photo Match"Leave a comment:

Re: Is it a photo match?
In order to call it a photo match, you need to find EXACT characteristics between the two. A thread that is coming off a number, a dirt mark, a sweat stain, etc.
Saying that the letters are similar in their alignment is not enough. I will bet my gear that he is not the only player from that game(s) that has the letters a little obscure. That is too common of a trait.
You need more definitive evidence.Leave a comment:

Here's some more pictures. What I'm focusing on is the letters.

Re: Is it a photo match?
If you can tell me what specific characteristics qualify this as a photomatch, I am with you 100%.
Photomatching is very different than stylematching.
You have the right idea, but I have to say, IT IS NOT.
I need more evidence.Leave a comment:

Re: Is it a photo match?
IMO - not from that photo. You need a much higher resolution photo to compare to your jersey. Just because the numbers look unaligned, doesn't mean it's a match.Leave a comment:
